Groundbreaking Ceremony of Mega Lifesciences Vietnam Manufacturing Plant: a Strategic Milestone in The Partnership between Taikisha Vietnam, Newtecons and Mega Lifesciences
On November 14, 2025, at Nhon Trach Industrial Park, Dong Nai Province, the groundbreaking ceremony of the Mega Lifesciences Vietnam Manufacturing Plant was successfully held. The event marked a significant milestone in the strategic partnership between the owner – Mega Lifesciences and the consortium of two leading contractors, Taikisha Vietnam and Newtecons.

The Mega Lifesciences Pharmaceutical Plant is developed under a consortium contracting model, combining the specialized strengths of each party to meet the stringent requirements of an international EU-GMP standard pharmaceutical facility. Within this partnership structure, Newtecons is responsible for design, legal procedures, and construction of architectural, structural, and infrastructure works. In parallel, Taikisha Vietnam – a member of Japan’s global Taikisha Group – undertakes the design and construction of the complete MEP systems and cleanroom facilities. With extensive experience and advanced engineering capabilities, Taikisha Vietnam is committed to delivering comprehensive solutions for the factory’s cleanroom and production systems.

The ceremony was honored by the attendance of senior leadership from all parties, including Mr. Masayuki Nakachi – General Director of Taikisha Vietnam, Mr. Pham Thanh Binh – Deputy General Director, and notably Mr. Masaki Yamashita – Senior General Manager, ASEAN Management Dept., Green Technology System Division, Taikisha Group.

The groundbreaking on November 14, 2025, is the result of thorough preparation since late 2024 and was strongly propelled forward after the signing of the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) in October 2025. The Mega Lifesciences Vietnam Pharmaceutical Plant is not only a flagship project for Mega Lifesciences in Vietnam but also a clear testament to the Group’s sustainable expansion strategy in Southeast Asia.
