Taikisha Completes the Construction of Its First Mass Production Demonstration Factory for Lettuce, etc. for Business Use on July 15 and to Commence Operation in August.

Taikisha Ltd. (Head Office: Shinjuku-ku, Tokyo; Representative Director, President: Koji Kato) completed the construction of its first plant mass production demonstration factory in Sugito-town, Saitama Prefecture on July 15. On August 1, the factory will be transferred to our wholly-owned affiliate Vege-Factory Co., Ltd. (Head Office: Shinjuku-ku, Tokyo; Representative Director, President: Shigeru Mikami) and will promote the mass production demonstration of high-quality lettuce, etc. with a small number of viable bacteria for business use.

Sugito Mass Production Demonstration Factory

Purpose of Construction

The Sugito Mass Production Demonstration Factory is a fully artificial lighting plant factory constructed as Taikisha’s first factory.

On August 1, the factory will be transferred to Taikisha’s wholly-owned affiliate "Vege-Factory Co., Ltd.,” and it will accumulate factory management know-how at its mass production demonstration factory and be able to utilize its original air conditioning technology cultivated in the field of industrial air conditioning and demonstrate the mass production of high-quality vegetables with a small number of viable bacteria by way of an automated unmanned growth system and its original hydroponic system. Taikisha will be committed to introducing this technology at plant factories to be constructed by the Taikisha Group in the future.

The factory will commence full-scale operation in August and start shipping vegetables in September.
